Cultural Geometries
This project prototypes natural stone as a low-carbon primary structural material. Inspired by Gaustavino vaulting, it explores geometry, adhesion, and layering through full-scale tests. Using keyed and interlocking tiles with varied mortars, the project generates structural data to support future building standards for sustainable stone construction in contemporary architecture.
