MyxArch

The MyxArch is a post-tensioned lightweight structure composed of 11 polyhedral, stressed skin mycelium components. It showcases a cross-section of a self-supporting temporary shelter to provide acoustic, visual, and thermal comfort inside empty and underutilized buildings. Employing regional bio-based materials such as hemp, flax and beech, it explores the architectural and structural expressions of an emerging circular bio-tech economy.
