Global Workshop BCN | Building Ecologies: The five Elements

The Global Workshop: Building Ecologies: The 5 Elements, is a summer course offered by Rice Architecture and hosted by Escola d’Arquitectura La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona (Spain). Through visits, talks, and hands-on activities, the students will become familiar with urban strategies and material cultures relating to architecture and ecology. This academic initiative is supported by Rice University Creative Ventures involving Rice Architecture, Rice University School of Engineering, La Salle School of Architecture, as well as local manufacturers and experts such as BEC industries, Ceramica Cumella, Suimco Materiales, S.L., Huguet & xmade, material and envelope design.
